Student Orientation

Student Orientation at York consists of two parts: York Orientation Day (which includes Founders Academic Orientation), and Social Orientation (a.k.a. Frosh Week).

York Orientation Day/Academic Orientation
Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, from 1:00pm to 8:00 pm

We want you to have a smooth transition to university life; therefore we have planned this orientation to help you succeed at York. We will introduce you to professors in your program, and to the academic services, social activities, recreational activities and facilities available to you, both at Founders College and throughout the University. We want to help you make connections. We want you to feel at home.

  • Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies Academic Advising

  • Keynote Address by Larissa Crawford, Founders College Alumna, policy consultant, trainer and professional public speaker

York Orientation Day/Academic Orientation is free and includes a light supper, however, you are responsible for your own parking costs.

Where is my Academic Orientation Session?

To accommodate the large number of incoming students that will be attending Founders Academic Orientation, the College will be conducting two concurrent sessions with two different starting locations as follows:
