Winter Academic Orientation

During Orientation, you will be introduced to the tools you need to excel in your studies at York. Orientation events are designed to help you make a smooth transition to university life. You will be introduced to your program of study and the academic services, social and recreational activities and other facilities available to you, both at Founders and throughout the university. We will help you make connections.
* Curtis Lecture Hall is building #50 on the campus map.
A light breakfast is included and there is no cost to attend but you are responsible for your own parking costs.
Academic Orientation Schedule

|10:00am to 11:30am||Presentations by Founders & McLaughlin College Masters and Staff (FC 152)
- Welcome & Introductions by Professor Pablo Idahosa, Master, Founders College and Professor David Leyton-Brown, Master, McLaughlin College
- Peer Mentorship Program Video Presentation
- Welcome by Founders College Student Council and McLauglin College Council
- Question and Answer Period
|11:30am to 2:30pm||Campus Services Fair (Vari Hall)|
Campus Fair : Students will be escorted to the Campus Services Fair taking place in Vari Hall from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Students will have a chance to connect directly to key campus partners who provide centralized services such as financial information, learning resources, security, transportation agencies, athletics, health and wellness resources to name a few.
Campus Tours/Find Your Classroom: We will be also offering Keele campus tours throughout the Campus Services Fair to help students find their classrooms and become familiar with key resources they will need to succeed in their first few weeks at York University.
