Laksha Shah - PAL Coordinator
Social Work and Human Rights and Equity Studies
Current Year of Study: 4

Hello everyone, my name is Laksha and my preferred pronouns are she/her. I’m a 4th year post-degree student pursuing a major in Social Work and a minor in Human Rights and Equity Studies. I am a social justice advocate, a strong proponent for equity and Indigenous rights and recognition, a feminist, and a huge Toronto Raptors fan (2019 Champs!). As a Peer Academic Leader, my hope is to continue creating a positive and safe environment for my fellow students that fosters growth and engagement (both academic and personal), as well as promotes (self-)empowerment. My goal is to work alongside my fellow students to cultivate successive agents of social change and pay-it-forward. A few quirky facts about me: This is my 9th year in post-secondary education, and my 3rd post-secondary credential; I also have moderate to full fluency in 8 different languages (ask me about them)!
